Prominent Covington Woman Dead After Long Illness
Mrs Isaac Schoonover wife of Judge Schoonover of the Fountain Circuit Court died in St Elizabeth hospital Danville Ill after a lingering illness. Aged 62 she was beloved in Covington and Attica for charitable work aiding the needy and serving in several organizations. Funeral services were held in Covington and the body then taken to Attica for burial.

Jack W. Latollette alias Chas Davidson was arrested by Sheriff Harry Wertz on a petit larceny warrant locateable with Fountain county authorities. Night school classes show strong progress and interest
The night school reports good progress across most classes with growing interest from teachers and pupils though enrollment is a bit lower than initially. A Book Shower Set For Washingtons Birthday at Library
The Library Board fixed February 22 as the date for a daylong book shower to open the Kingman library. A program will be announced later, and donors may register in a memorial book. Vaudeville Show At Opera House Draws Small Crowd
The vaudeville show last Saturday night at the opera house was poorly attended due to cold weather though those present enjoyed the program. All advertised acts succeeded including E. R. Guilford�s escape routine. Guilford became faint during the box escape and the box had to be busted open to free him. He recovered after a rest and intends to perform the stunt again at a future engagement.
