Miss Dot Ratcliff daughter of Mr and Mrs William Ratcliff and Stoddy Rector son of Mr and Mrs W A Rector were married at noon Sunday at the bride’s parents home northeast of town in the presence of close family. Rev Kelsey U B church officiated. After the ceremony a dinner was served. The bride is a Millcreek high school graduate class of 1909 and active in local society. The groom is well known here and they will reside in Dalhart Texas.

Relieving Bond Surety Seeks Release in Covington Suit
The Title Guaranty and Surety company of Pennsylvania petitions Covington circuit court to be released from liability as surety on Henry Lawson’s Millcreek township trustee bond of 10 000. Lawson, elected November 3 1908, executed the bond with the company as surety. the petition gives no reason for discharge though Lawson’s financial records are reported clean and he plans to furnish a new bond if required.

Shooting May Prove Fatal Near Covington
In Vermillion county near Benson Chapel six miles from Covington, Phillip Keller about 30, was shot with a shotgun by Albert Vyce 26, after a long feud. Vyce says self defense as Keller drew a gun. Keller likely will die. Vyce is held in Newport awaiting Keller’s death outcome.

Mary E Newnan Dies After Lingering Illness at 80
Mary E wife of the late Peter Newnan died at her son Johns home near Yedda Tuesday at 3 PM after a lingering illness. She was 80 and survived by one daughter and five sons with many grandchildren and relatives. Funeral services were held yesterday at 11 from the Centennial church by Rev J M McHargu. Burial followed in the nearby cemetery.
