Robt K Houston Huston investigated Farmers Bank of Veedersburg after closing the doors last Saturday revealing a nearly 25000 dollar shortage caused by former president Joe Irvin. Farmers reorganized as a state bank with 25000 dollar capital, taking over the private firm’s business and listing Mrs Irvin as a principal stock owner. Irvin remains missing as authorities verify the losses and new bank status.

The Cloverleaf depot at Veedersburg was broken into Wednesday night at about 9 30. The ticket office was ransacked and a small amount of money reported. Two suspects were arrested at Cayuga a few hours later while alighting from a westbound Cloverleaf train. one man escaped.
