Bank of Kingman at Kingman Indiana reports its condition as of January 2 1907 with I E S Booe cashier asserting truthfulness. E S Booe swears before notary J W Black on February 6 1907 noting commission expiry June 28 1907.
Five children, five Attica youngsters, were bitten on Monday morning as they walked to school by a shepherd dog owned by Will Young, an enginee r at the saw mill. The dog attacked two Glating boys first, then bit three Keedam girls and finally Lew Young. The dog was shot in the head by Lew Young after retreating toward the house.
W G Ruhl, Covington & Southwestern president, filed notice of capital stock increase from 75000 to 750000 and announced an extension from Covington to Crawfordsville. Surveyors work east from Snoddy's Mill via Wallace, Alamo to Crawfordsville. Ruhl to Chicago for counsel. In Parke County, Blanche Debaun wed Perry Leonard with Rev Noah Dixon officiating.
N. J. Newlin of Indianapolis called on Bonebrake and Carter last Saturday regarding Avery Manufacturing Co. He also visited E. H. Towell and his wife during the same visit.
A meeting in Kingman discussed Hastings Industrial Co of Chicago building a king-size canning factory. A $5,350 up-to-date plant would be sold in shares, with local farmers and citizens invited to invest and supply materials. A committee was named to assess feasibility and costs while local interest and stock subscriptions grow.
The administrator of the estate of James F Vaughn deceased will offer at public sale February 16 1907 at the late residence 34 a mile south of Steam Corner and 2 miles northeast of Yeddo Indiana all personal property not taken by the widow including two milk cows one calf brood sow seven shoats corn oats bay in the crib and other household and farming items. The sale begins at 10 o clock with terms a nine month credit on goods 35 00 or more with security notes bearing 7 percent interest from due date and cash for amounts under 500.
