Prominent Fulton Township Man Dies in Milking Accident
Enoch Robbins 74, longtime Fulton township resident, died Monday at 4 p.m. from injuries suffered while milking Sunday evening when a calf crushed his chest. Surrounded by family, he was taken to the house and died after severe pain relief failed. He leaves a wife, five children, and many relatives. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the U B church in Cates conducted by Rev. Higgenbotham.

Mare Killed During Wheat Threshing Near Jesse Cook Farm
A horse at Jesse Cook's home south of here was killed Monday forenoon when its tail was pulled into a threshing machine driven by Cyrus Vickery. The mare, valued at about $150, suffered fatal injuries as the belt wound around the pulley and damaged the shafting, halting the outfit for days.
