Kingman Commercial Club Discusses Entertainment and School Grounds
The Kingman Commercial Club held a regular meeting last Friday night with full enthusiasm. A proposed chau tauqua was rejected as too large for the town. plans for a short outdoor event after the Prize Contest and band discussion were noted. The club appointed H. P. McCrary and Joe Tower to work with Trustee Lawson on beautifying the school grounds, including trees, leveling, grass, and cement walks. The next meeting is set for May 1 with a prepared entertainment program.

Surprise Party For Mr and Mrs R A Mc Cord
The Ladies Aid Society of the Christain church and their husbands hosted a surprise at the Booe home for Mr and Mrs R A Mc Cord. About forty attended charades and social treats. Mrs Mc Cord received silver salad forks. The couple will relocate to Lilbourn Missouri with Mrs Mc Cord joining later.

Last Saturday brought a large crowd to Kingman for the inaugural free prize contest with farmers and families arriving early and merchants reporting strong trade.
