Located on the Main Line of the Chicago Milwaukee St. Paul Railroad 48 miles west of Mitchell and 22 miles east of Chamberlain, it features a fine graded school, churches, a first class post office, two banks, two hotels, a large grain elevator with material on hand for more, three lumber yards with vast stocks, several blacksmith shops, good livery stables, and trading stores. The countryside remains in need of more residents and offers strong incentives to invest in this growing community.
The Brule County Agricultural Fair Grounds lie adjacent to the townsite and are regarded as one of the Territory’s best fair grounds, featuring a good half mile track.
D Warner proprietor of the original town site has platted three adjoining additions with continued streets and alleys. Describes macre lots for residence plots and prime Main Street blocks for business. Highlights mild Dakota climate, abundant rainfall, pure water, and overall advantages, inviting inquiry for further details.
