In South Chicago a junk dealer, David W. Lankowicz, was arrested after attempting to remove tracks on Seventy third street. He believed he bought abandoned railway property from a supposed railway agent, George W. Thompson, who vanished with the money as officials intervened.
An alleged burglar, Adolph Newman, 23, fell or jumped twenty five feet during a west side chase and sustained internal injuries and a fractured leg. Police and hospital staff worked two hours but the man was likely fatally injured as crowds watched and he begged for relief with a bullet.
Detroit December 6 Joseph Kirwin aged 26 pleaded guilty to piracy on the high seas for robbing Mrs M P Sweeting of Jackson Michigan aboard the steamer Western States on September 10. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in the Detroit house of correction.

He testified that the headline on fifty two democratic ballots was written by nine different persons, one preparing nineteen ballots, and that five ballots with replica headings were written by a person.
A Somerville birth reports a two headed male infant born at twelve weeks, weighing fourteen pounds, attracting scandalized attention. One head is poorly formed with no eyes, while the other is better developed. the baby is reportedly in good health and normal in other aspects. The mother is twenty.
Senator New York announced W. Ham R. Wilcox will be appointed post master at New York. Wilcox served as a jail or prison commissioner under the administration. His name will go on the site Tuesday.
