Pleasant Grove Mourns Death of J. W. Jaynes at 68
J. W. Jaynes of Pleasant Grove died at 3 30 p m on May S at the home of Ly Harden where he had lived for two years. He was about 68, wife Mina Lydia had died four years earlier. He left two living daughters Mrs. L. J. Harden and Mrs. Cha Tarbett, plus a daughter Mrs. Perry Burkett who died in Arkansas. He was a longtime member of the Free Will Baptist church and a Confederate veteran who supported the Lost Cause. Funeral services were held Saturday with Rev. Spearman officiating, burial in the local cemetery beside his wife and late daughter.
