Rock Ridge visits and summer outings noted

Prof Campbell of Lincoln inspected summer filling work in Rock Ridge and was entertained at the Morgan home. Rock Ridge youths enjoyed a Pawnee Buttes picnic with a wagon and several rigs. Lillian Foster visited near Grover and returned with a friend spending days at the Foster home.

Badger Digs for Food and Threat to Local Farmland

The piece explains badger diet and digging behavior including rodents and poultry raids. A Pawnee five piece orchestra supplied music for an all night dance at Filers ranch last Saturday. Attendees included P E Nelson and son Marcellus Miss Weltha Cox Miss Anna Miller Fred Miller T G Ewing and family Mr Dendinger Will Waneka Hudson family and Miss Fae Stanley. Patrons plan a frame building for Hightower school and the district will provide materials. Ed Palmer plans move to Pawnee after visiting relatives in Rossburg Ohio. Several local residents attended events and church services with plans for the Fourth of July at Perrys Grove.

Mrs H M Flagler visited Robys Sunday afternoon while Mrs Jones stayed with Mrs McClement. Mrs John Deal and Mrs H W Folck attended church at the Nelson schoolhouse. The McClement Roby and Folck children visited Deal Saturday night. John Roby nears completion on a house for Mrs Jones. Ashdown and Wharton left for the valley Saturday to work in the hay.
