Dodder Sells Keota Garage for Buick Sales and Additions
Last week C. O. Dodder traded horses and cattle to Max Waxham for the Keota Garage. Waxham will keep Buick sales for now and may move to the farm later. Dodder plans a 16 by 50 foot addition for C. L. Gibson’s blacksmith shop integrated with auto repair. The old livery and barn will become storage for cars with a 52 by 64 foot completed structure and a leanto. A. F. Peter laid the concrete foundation. A galvanized water tank will be mounted with piping to the premises and a new shed will house the livery business.

Celebrate in Keota Fourth of July Event Biggest Yet
Keota plans a large Fourth of July celebration in Pawnee district with a baseball game between New Raymer and Hereford for a $25 purse. Prizes exceeding $150 will fund horse races including quarter and half mile events and other contests. A merry go round and a moving picture show will entertain, with full program and prize list to follow in the next issue.

Weld County notes report J E Jennings a Greeley grocer fined in Judge Ewing's court for passing a street car discharging passengers. Phocien Bryen a Stoneham farmer convicted of second degree murder for killing James E Jackson at Stoneham on October 8 1916. A feud over a $20 issue prompts Windsor band to lead a Fourth of July motor parade to Estes Park with about 150 Windsor cars, after the committee offered $100 for band service priced at $120 or five dollars per member.

Funeral Held for Jesse S. Zittle Drowning Victim
The body of Jesse S. Zittle, who drowned in the Platte River near Fort Morgan on May 27, was recovered last Sunday evening. The funeral was held at Fort Morgan Monday afternoon with members of the Keola I. O. O. F. lodge in attendance.
