Petitioners request the Board of Education to authorize a bond issue for a new Central School. Rotary leader A B Babbitt presided and speakers urged funding, projecting costs around twenty thousand dollars and noting recent state inspector findings.
Religious Emphasis Week in Kent will be observed with services led by Lew Washburn of Akron and other church figures. The rector and pastor will participate in a series of events at Simon Church and First United Brethren, focusing on sermon topics and community outreach throughout the week.
Mrs. Alvin Hill died suddenly at her home Saturday night at 8 oclock after long illness. She was widely known as a friendly neighbor and kind woman, active in church affairs. Survived by her husband Alvin Hill and a large circle of relatives, with numerous friends mourning her loss. Funeral arrangements were handled by D. W. Bes.
