The allocations committee approved a temporary fall budget and ordered monthly book checks led by Burr business manager Bob McGee. The athletic department was allotted 7,370.24 but has spent 12,545.18, risking about an 11,000 dollar annual deficit. Letters will go to finance heads who omit revenue from extra curricular activities. Athletics repeatedly strains allocations as state funds do not cover athletic programs.

Dr. Charles Winslow announced the psychology clinic is open to students and immediate families offering vocational guidance tests and counseling. The staff includes Dr. C. N. Winslow Miss M. J. Rehder and Dr. Charles Langsam a Cleveland psychiatrist who visits Kent weekly. Integration with psychology classes and the university is planned.

The industrial arts department has grown to 12 full time instructors, two part time teachers, and over 1000 students.
