Paddle Hop planned after Youngstown Kent State clash

Youngstown College and Kent State University plan a paddle hop in Wills Gym from 10 to 12 p m following the Oct 29 football game. Ross Halamay and his orchestra will provide music. The Paddle will be presented to the winning team captain amid campus legends about the historic paddle.

Homecoming Plans Include Parade Game and Theater

Homecoming activities center on the November 6 football game against Bowling Green Falcons. Queen selection occurs November 3 by three external judges. The University Theater presents The Return of Peter Grimm on November 4–6 at 8 15 p.m. A postgame dance is planned with details forthcoming. Raymond K Moran leads festivities. Journalism hosts 18 reservations for the J luncheon on November 6 at Robin Hood at 12 15.

Summergrad Named Political Chairman Of ISA

Stanley Summergrad appointed political chairman of the Independent Students Association replacing Vern Lockert who resigned. Both appointments require Student Council approval. ISA hosts a get acquainted dance at Moulton Hall Saturday Oct 23 from 9 to 11 30 p.m. Admission with one membership card per couple. all members invited.

Club Enters Air Meet at Detroit Spring

The University Flying Club announces it will enter a national inter-collegiate meet in Detroit during the spring. A pilot will be selected from eligible university pilots, not limited to aeronautics majors. Open meeting at 109 Merrill on Monday Oct 25 at 4 p.m. to discuss plans.

St John Denounces Bernadotte Plan in University Address

Robert St John denounced the Bernadotte plan to partition Palestine urging adherence to the Nov 29 1947 UN decision for a 5000 square mile Israel. He called for recognition lifting of the arms embargo and a loan while cautioning against war with Russia and refraining from endorsing Dewey or Truman.

Movie Exhibits Champion Golfers

MU Meets Today Plans for Football Dance Set at 4 p.m.

The Men's Union holds a regular meeting today at 4 p.m. in 219K where completion of the football dance plans will be discussed. Secretary Tom Welsh announced the gathering and urged all dance committee members and reporters to attend.
