The first postwar Homecoming queen Ruth Hoehn will be introduced at a 10 o clock assembly in the auditorium with pep talks from Coach Trevor Rees. Hank Johnston will present the queen and introduce Rees and other speakers. The program features cheers led by Marcia Traxler and marching songs by Roy Metcalf's band.

Tomato Juice Believed To Elevate Homecoming Queen

Perry Saito, Japanese American lecturer and Fellowship of Reconciliation secretary, will speak at the First Methodist church Sunday at 9 30 a m and at the Wesley Foundation dinner hour. His wife, a concert soprano, will sing for the Wesley group and perform at the training school auditorium Monday at 7 30 p m. The events are under the Inter Religious council with Monday dinner and talks for Kent State high school students and Dr James Laing's race relations class.

With advance sales booming the SRO sign seems certain for the Homecoming game Saturday. Special plans are in place to handle a record crowd, according to Merle Wagoner, faculty manager of athletics.

Twin Lakes country club hosts a 12 30 p m reception for Cardinal Key alumnae in room 115 Kent hall from 4 to 5 p m. The Golden Flashes record seven wins and six losses in 16 years with three seasons absent Homecoming. In the latest game they fell to Western Reserve 28 13. They lost two Homecomings to Bowling Green but upset BG 7 0 in 1942. 1935 saw a 45 0 Kent State win over Bowling Green. Post game, house and dormitory decorations will be judged.

Allocation agents nearly balanced last night within 438.09 of distributing 20 740 43 to university departments and organizations for the fall quarter. Budgets list nine figures across athletics art student council theatre band forum and other student groups with planned policy to adopt a percentage allocation method later this quarter.
YMCA Plans Member Drive And Event Schedule
YMCA will run a five day membership drive next week with a Thursday meeting in room 219 Kent hall at 7 30 p.m. Rev Merle V Rentz of Trinity Lutheran church will speak on Emphasizing the C in YMCA. A YMCA hayride follows the next evening with tickets at 1 each sold in the Kent hall atrium.
