Prof Dewey F Barich head of the University industrial arts department since 1942 resigns effective Nov 1 to become manager of Ford Motor Company's community relations department in Dearborn Michigan He led growth to a 12 member faculty in a new 790000 Arts building and will work with educators student administrators and allied groups. He is a Navy veteran and past president of several art education associations.

Sororities Begin Two Week Rush With Round Robin Tour

Open house invitations available Oct 9 in 2060 with Dean Swanson guiding rush. 215 girls split into eight groups toured eight sorority houses with guides and met members. A Presidents panel and style show preceded the Round Robin which runs through Oct 12 with coke parties weekend.

SC invites applications for positions on the election committee. Applications may be submitted in writing or in person to the Student Council until 4 p.m. tomorrow, when the council convenes. The committee will include five representatives from Blue and Gold, five from Nu-K, and seven independents from the pool.
