Budget Debate Prints Fall Allocations For Student Body

After five hours of discussion the fall budget grew by 217.00 from reserve funds and the final fall quarter total reached 3957.00. The Allocation Committee presents figures so students see how funds are distributed and will send a questionnaire asking for activity spending preferences.

The fall quarter meeting of the Student Government Association will be in the University auditorium at 2 p m Wednesday Dec 6. Members will discuss activity ticket fee allocations and funds distribution by the allocating committee and will hear a poll on student sentiment.

The Rotary Exhibition of Contemporary Old Paintings from the Philadelphia Plastic club will be shown by the University school of art in Kent hall art gallery on the second floor this week. Mrs Nina Humphrey notes 30 paintings in a diverse show selected from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. It is regarded as among the best Plastic club exhibitions.

OWA Plans War Chest Drive At Campus Meeting

The Office of War Activities to lead a 1945 campus War Chest drive discussed at today’s 4 pm meeting in Merrill hall room 204. Norma Hakundy of the Student Council was elected OWA chairwoman with Dottie Jones of Gamma Sigma Phi as secretary and Helen Morgan of Home Economics as treasurer. Freddie Brun named as appointee.

Athletic Pledges Due Tomorrow for Varsity Return

University Athletic association deadline is Wednesday November 29 at 4 pm. John Williamson Blue Key president reports $237 raised and over $500 pledged as drive supports bringing back varsity baseball basketball and wrestling. Blue Key and Cardinal Key sponsor with George Farres and Ed Fenko in charge at Wills gym entrance.

William A. Satterlee was chosen to organize the 1944 45 University basketball team after nine years as assistant coach at Akron South High. He will coach this season and return to his high school post next fall. He is a DePauw graduate with a NYU master's degree and previously led the Whitedoor Boys club in New York City.

Frosh Present Fine Program With William King as MC

Freshman Froli staged last Tuesday featured Wilda Moore as composer and accompanist. Luthy and Lower offered a clever skit At the Races while Richards and Ruoff performed a Carnegie hall duet. Richardo Gomez and James Coia showcased piano solos with Puerto Rican tempo and boogie woogie, and Kay Berdelline and Nancy Orr added notable classical vocals. The King Berdelline duet and other numbers drew solid audience response, though the show could improve.
