Students must show activity cards Wednesday evening to enter the social dance chaired by Bob Duncan K Vet president. The atrium hosts smoking while halls remain off limits. Social dancing remains a sport dance with ties requested for boys and a poll will gauge willingness to pay 15 cents admission and hire a band about twice monthly.
Gro Bagn of Norway and Jean Grimmit of England appeared on Lynn Lawrence's WAKR program in Akron. They discussed stockings with Gro favoring woolen pairs for warmth and desiring nylons while Jean prefers anklets but cannot wear them in England.
Dr Edna Oswalt associate professor of psychology spoke to the women’s orientation classes last night at 7 in the auditorium on Personality. Those absent should attend Wednesday at 4 in room 219 Kent per Dean Ada Hyatt.
Final tryouts for the university theatre production Ten Little Indians will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in room 315 Kent Hall.
Jim Bullock and Bob White were named co producers of the 1947 No Time For Classes musical by student council. They receive the NTFC fund of 318.46 with profits to return to the fund. Dr Maurice Baum will remain NTFC treasurer and Roy Apple named supervisor. Council requires candidate campaign addresses and passes several recognitions and appointments including K Vets Psi Chi and Mens Union.
Miss June Kerr of New Zealand arrived in Kent Tuesday to work with her war bride sister Mrs. George Streby as an employee in the office of Dewey F. Barich, veterans' coordinator.
A poll of 1,217 Independent Student Association members finds 66.5 percent in favor of a daily newspaper for the university, 30.4 percent against, and 8.1 percent undecided. Responses show 810 yes 371 no and 36 no opinion amid campus funding debates.
Beginning with the December issue the Kent Stater increases advertising to 80 cents per column inch for regular ads and four cents per word for classified. Business manager Frank Wendeley cites a 66 percent rise in overall costs.
Dewey F. Barich, veterans' coordinator, reports that about 84 percent of the 1,507 veterans registered for the summer terms earned grades C or better. Averages included 68 with straight A, 558 A to B, 649 B to C, 203 C to D, and 23 failures.
Kent State University students heard Akron Beacon Journal photographers Julius Green Frank Goddard and Lew Henderson discuss Daily Assignments of the News Photographer and asked questions before being inducted as honorary members of the KSU Press Photographers association.
Prof. Charles A. Taff will lead a commercial air transportation class on a field trip to Cleveland tomorrow. Students will attend the National Air Show and tour the Cleveland airport facilities.

Recipients are listed with campus activities and sorority affiliations, from Carol Linder to Phoebe Steiner, reflecting wide involvement across university clubs, theater, and student organizations.

Speaker Karl E. Mundt, U S congressman from South Dakota, will address an audience tomorrow in the auditorium at 8 p m. He serves on the Foreign Affairs and Un American Activities committees of the House of Representatives.
