UT Presents Three Arena Style Plays

University of Texas Studio theatre presents three arena style one act plays on Thursday evening in room 119 K. Si Lee stars as Photo Finish in Hello Out There with Ethel the jail cook. Maude in The Florist Shop is played by La Donna Huey. Mothers features Shelia Smith and Marcia Hill. All cast are student directed and acted with no admission charge.

ISA Square Dance Tonight at University Gym

The Independent Student Association sponsors an all University square dance from 7 30 to 10 in the University school gym. Don Rand will call and admission is 25 cents. All students are invited.

Hop Change Moves Midweek Event to Tonight at Wills Gym

The mid week hop occurs tonight in Wills gym instead of last evening as earlier. It will be the last hop until December 5 due to the Thanksgiving holiday next week. The following week a square dance is sponsored by the HPE club.

Fresh Cast Announced for University Freshman Play

Prof G Harry Wright announces the cast for the annual fresh man play The Curious Savage by John Patrick to be presented November 29 to December 1. Cast includes Fairy May Joan Webster Hannibal Dick Besseger and others with Earl E. Curtis directing and Rudy Cirrell and Bonnie Schwartz in staff roles.

Director Attends Three National Health Association Meetings

Dr. Arville O. DeWeese director of student health service attended the 25th national meetings of the American School Health Association and the American Public Health Association in San Francisco. He has attended all 25 meetings and serves as secretary of ASHA while remaining a council member of APHA. He also visited Chicago for the American Medical Association conference as a medical consultant. The events ran October 20 to November 10 with delegates from across the United States and abroad.

What is Modern Art exhibition at Fine Arts gallery

An exhibition of painting reproductions titled What is Modern Art is on display in the Fine Arts gallery. The Akron Art Institute loaned many pictures and several more come from the University’s School of Art collection. The show runs through Friday November 23.

Diabetes test drive gains slow response during Diabetes Week

Only 50 students have taken the voluntary exam offered with the American Diabetes Association during Diabetes Week. University physician Dr. Myrtle C. Dineen invites both sexes to test at the infirmary between 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 30 pm this week, noting the test is simple and should be universal.

Remenyi to Speak on Dante Day at Kent

Dr. Joseph Remenyi, professor of comparative literature at Western Reserve University, will discuss Dante and his times in the Kent Auditorium on Dante Day Tuesday November 20. The event, free to the public, is sponsored by the assembly committee with art displays titled The Medieval World and Art in Dante's Time in the Art Gallery behind the Auditorium.

Student Council Set to Meet at 4 P.M. in Union

President Harry Moldovan announced that the seven new council members completed tests on parliamentary procedure and the student constitution in the Union yesterday. The council will convene today in 203 Union at 4 p.m.
