Don Cossack Choir Benefit For Training School Band

The Don Cossack chorus will perform tonight at 8 in the University auditorium with funds going to buy instruments and uniforms for the Training school band and orchestra. Tickets are available after 6 p m at the atrium desk and 10 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm today, or all day at Thompson's drug store. Serge Jaroff leads the group, formed by former prisoners of the Red army, marking their third Kent appearance. They beat Akron.

Akron Kent State clash sparks zipper boot formation

Roy D. Metcalf announced the University band will perform an unzipping boot formation at the Rubber Bowl during the AkronKent State football game. The eighty piece Casanova-Coed band will demonstrate the maneuver as drum majors move, while Akron’s forty piece band also performs.
