Homecoming Festivities Feature iDance and Play

Frankie Masters and his orchestra will perform at the Homecoming dance in the MPE building from 9 pm to 1 am. University women receive 1 30 permits. Tickets are $1 a couple, sold at the Booster booth today and at the gym tomorrow. The play Born Yesterday directed by G Harry Wright airs at 8 15 pm in the auditorium with Marcia Hill and Dick Johnson in leading roles. Tickets remain at Kent hall entrance. Decorations by the Art club. Faculty and student committees listed for the social event and dance arrangements.

Bonfire Rally Kickoff for Homecoming Festivities

Booster club hosts a bonfire rally at the stadium parking lot tonight. Cheerleaders pep band and students meet at Prentice gate at 6 30 p m and perform a snake dance to the main gathering area.

Homecoming Queen Finalists Named at Akron Kent Game

One hundred sixteen candidates vied for Homecoming Queen with finalists Phyllis Wright from Kent Johann Selais from Maple Heights and Joan Milford from Rittman. The queen will be announced at halftime and crowned on the field with escort from Scabbard and Blade and officers of the social and student council groups.

Alumni Welcome Day Highlighted By Decorations And Games

Dr. Bowman welcomes alums on campus tomorrow during half time of the game. Judges from local schools will rate dormitory and fraternity decorations on originality and craftsmanship with separate trophies for four divisions. Half time features include the queen and attendants, musical performances, student cheering section, and ID checks for seating. Tickets available at the athletic window, police office, and gate tomorrow.

Mums on Sale for Homecoming at Booster Booth

Orders are being taken for mums for the Homecoming game at the Booster booth and 227 Sto pher hall. Flowers sell for 1 dollar and can also be purchased at the game.

Kent in top form for Homecoming clash with Akron

Kent State coach notes top condition aside from fullback Jim Cullom who may miss the Akron game with a shoulder injury. Eskar Jordan could start in his place. Jack Mancos returns at left half and doubles at defensive halfback. Key backs include DiVincenzo Parsons Pitts Amodio and Skinner. Akron’s leading scorer Buster Rizzo has 30 of 82 points, 268 rushing yards and 426 receiving yards this season.
