Rivals Rendezvous Dance to Benefit Akron Kent Relations
The Rival Rendezvous dance on Thursday November 11 from 9 to 12 p m at East Market Gardens Akron will raise funds for peaceful rivalry between Akron and Kent. Curt Sarff chairs the effort with Jim Kline and Irene Broadbeck coordinating tickets and decorations. Bobby Woodson and a 14 piece band will perform with $1 25 per couple tickets and 1 30 passes for attending girls.

Kent Defeats Bowling Green in 33rd Homecoming Show
Nearly 5,000 alums and guests attended the 33rd homecoming with Delta Gamma winning decorations in sorority division and Phi Beta Phi taking fraternity honors for a lightning bolt theme. Engleman Hall won the dormitory prize with Strikes to Spare, and Miss Marilyn Taylor was crowned queen before a 12,000 strong crowd.

University Air Team Seeks Applicants for Flying Group
Applications are being accepted in Andrew W. Paton’s office for a university flying team. Open to any student with a private or commercial certificate who has flown at least one hour in a light plane in the past 60 days. Eligible pilots may buy 30 minutes of practice at $3.50 per hour. a six member team will represent the university.
