May Queen Entries Due On May 15 Campus Night Queen Named
May Queen entries are due May 15 with the winner to reign on Campus Night May 25. A candidate must have at least a 2.0 average and submit her name to Marion Anderson, Cardinal Key chair. Dr. F. Dewey Amner announces a new beginning Russian class to accompany a USSR understanding program. Bernard Mikofsky, an Army Signal Corps lieutenant, will teach Russian and also handle Spanish and French courses. The Kent Stater captured second place in the state’s semi weekly college newspaper division at the OCNA convention held at the University of Toledo last weekend. Editor Tom Gavag an earned third in Editorial Contest for Wanted In expensive Meals. Certificates were given at the OCNA dinner in Toledo on Saturday night with more than 20 Ohio newspapers represented. Stater delegates included Gavagan Norma Knsely John Thomas and Marion Cole. First prize for the semi weekly went to the Miami Student of Miami University.
