Michael Radock assistant journalism professor and director of the university news bureau was named for an eight-week internship by the Council on Radio Journalism. Veterans Rest Facility Open House At Jayteen Hall

Army veteran Leon Shaffer jitterbugged with his fiancée Helen Cantor as members plan to keep the rest area open Thursday and Sunday nights on a membership basis with season tickets sold at the door. The venue offers a juke box pool table and soda bar, serving as the only off-campus recreation available.

KSU Graduate Dies in Canton Photographer William Hudec
William Hudec, 27, a Kansas State University graduate from the College of Business Administration in 1943, died last Thursday in Canton where he worked as a commercial photographer. He studied photography at the university and served as business manager of the Duchess, and was a member of Kappa Sigma Chi fraternity with past roles as vice president and social chairman.
