University Theater Opens Third Show of Year

Tracy Meets The Press opened last night in the university auditorium before a near capacity crowd. The production is directed by Prof. Earle E. Curtis with cast members Jane Gates Jim Iacovazzo Jessica Perry and Bill McGaw as the principal players.

Choir Sings Two Sacred Concerts in Two Cities

The A Capella Choir directed by Caropatyan will perform early sacred works at First Presbyterian Cuyahoga Falls at 4 p.m. and First Congregational Hudson at 8:15 p.m. Selections include Amner Lotti Palestrina and modern pieces by Rachmaninoff and Bach. The double chorus performs Come Jesu Come.

Dance Hours Change After Dayton KSA Game

The Post Game dance sponsored by Pershing Rifles after the Dayton KSA game ends at midnight instead of 12:30 a.m. Music by the ROTC dance orchestra. Admission is 1 dollar per couple and 50 cents for a stag attendee.

Cadets to Host Military Ball with Elliot Lawrence

The University Corps of Cadets stage its third annual Military Ball on Tuesday February 21 at Akron East Market Gardens. Elliot Lawrence leads the heart to heart music with Rosalind Patton Jack Hunter and Lawrence at the piano. Formal dance runs 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with cadets in uniform and male guests in tuxedos. Intermission features presentation of the Honorary Cadet Colonel and attendants.

Display Traces Birth of American Journalism in Merrill Hall

Merrill Hall hosts a 25 panel exhibit on the history of American journalism. On loan from the Newark Evening News, the display covers early printing, sensationalism, Civil War era reporting, and famous comics like The Yellow Kid and Krazy Kat.
