Ohio ROTC Ball to Honor Cadets in Akron

State Rep Fred Harter and State Sen Katharine Dobbs will attend the ROTC third annual military ball in Akron at East Market Gardens from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. today. About 500 to 600 couples are expected with Elliot Lawrence and his orchestra providing music. Cadet Lt Col Hank Newell of Cleveland leads arrangements as Jean Ryder of Akron is named Honorary Cadet Colonel.

Union Recreation Hours Cut Open, Hop Cancelled

Only lunch and game rooms in the Student Union will be open tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 10 30 p.m. Bowling alleys will close all day for repairs and adjustments and the Mid week Hop has been cancelled.

Permits Open for Penny Carnival Applications

Penny carnival permits are available announced by Terry Atkinson Blue Key chairman. Applications may be picked up at the DU fraternity house 2 to 8 p m today with a Friday deadline for return. Social fraternities sororities and independents invited to apply four trophies awarded to top earh fraternity sorority and men's and women's independent concession groups. Carnival set for Friday March 31 in Wills gym.

Delta Tau Delta Installs Chapter Here Friday

Delta Tau Delta will install the Delta Omega chapter at the campus city Friday and Saturday, nationalist fraternity events with initiation of Gamma Tau Delta members and a Saturday banquet led by Carl V. Weygandt. G. Herbert McCracken will speak at the final banquet.

Miss Kent State Crowned At Top-Hop Dance

Lea Baumann was crowned Miss Kent State during intermission at the gym event Friday night. Her attendants were Cathie Scullion. Baumann won the title by student vote in a special election held two weeks earlier.
