Trip To Latin America Planned For History Students
Plans are underway for a six hour credit field trip to Latin America this summer from June 18 to July 27 led by Prof. Maury Baker. The itinerary includes Mexico City and Cuernavaca with Guatemala and other sites, using seven rental cars, at a cost of 175 dollars plus personal board and lodging.

BG Choristers Rough It On Florida Tour
Bowling Green University choir endured a 34 hour travel ordeal with a bus breakdown en route to Montgomery Alabama after departing Cincinnati on a milk train. An impromptu concert was held on a railroad ramp in Bowling Green Kentucky while $37.50 was collected in a hat. Roger Barnes was left in Silver Springs Florida and later rejoined by bus. Singers wore the same tuxedo for days and forwent washing and shaving on several occasions. The group returned to campus Tuesday, happier to be home.

Fessler Wins Duke of Kent Race at Kent Akron Game
Kent’s Bill Fessler of Phi Kappa Tau captured the Duke of Kent race during last night’s Akron-Kent basketball game. He led at halftime and was sponsored by Delta Zeta and his fraternity. Runners up were Eugene Newton and Wes Kemp. $281.69 was raised for a University project yet to be chosen. Funds from Chi Omega support past purchases including magnolia trees at Rockwell Library, two silver tea sets for the Union, and a May queen robe.

SC Delays Seating Of New Members
Newly elected members of Student Council will be seated next Wednesday according to acting president Harry Moldovan. Seating was postponed as President Ginny Vaughn was ill and could not administer the required tests. Tests for new members will be next Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Union. R. J. Becker replaces Marilyn Hayes as acting secretary. Only 65 freshman men voted in the recent elections, and plans were discussed to boost voter turnout with more posters and publicity.
