Potential Man Power To Enroll Draft Board Open Monday
About 250 men are expected to register at the University Monday to prepare for the third draft registration of potential manpower. Registrar E C Stopher said those who signed up in prior registrations need not register again. Registration runs 7 am to 9 pm in the registrar’s office with J T Johnson, L H Munzenmayer, and Fren Musselman assisting.

The women's athletic association hosts the first all University dance tonight from 9 to 12 in Wills gym with a defense blackout and a spotlight on Old Glory. Def stamps sell at the dance, decorations feature Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty, intermission awards honor top WAA achievements, and Mrs. Marie Apple will call old fashioned barn dancing after intermission. Legion refuses to scrap Kent cannon from campus
Cannon owned by the city remains with the Kent post of the American Legion after E F Carey said the Legion would not allow its campus weapon to be taken for scrap metal. S A Harbourt had urged donation of both cannons to the drive.

University Theatre announces tryouts for the April production George Washington Slept Here. Auditions are in the auditorium at 4 p.m. Monday and 7 p.m. Tuesday led by director G. Harry Wright. Forty-Four Marine Corps Candidacy Applications Filed
Forty four university men submitted entrance applications for the U S Marine Corps reserves candidacy class after a meeting with Lieut Arthur Wyman of the Cleveland recruiting office who outlined admission requirements. The group included seven seniors 23 juniors and 14 sophomores with a Kent quota of 12 seniors eight juniors and one sophomore leaving room for more seniors.
