Dr Andre Philip, professor of finance and economics at the University of Lyons, arrives for a two day stay as a guest of the university. He is to speak at the morning assembly and visit classrooms and meetings in the city and campus hosted by Dr Henry M Dater, assistant professor of history.
The HPE department lists new intramural dates including basketball on Thursday Feb 15 at 7 pm and Monday Feb 19 at 11 pm. The swimming meet is moved to Monday March 11 at 7 15 pm and the gym meet to Thursday March 28 at 7 15 pm.
EAST LANSING Michigan State College music instructor William Kimmel predicts the jitterbug will fade within six months to a year as swing and sweet tunes gain prominence. He notes fewer jitterbugs on dance floors this fall and says classic tunes are also changing with new styles and methods reshaping modern music future.
