Music Department Schedules Three Concerts This Week
The music department presents three programs before next Monday. At Ravenna High School at 8 p.m. Roy D. Metcalf conducts the symphonic band with Youth Triumphant Overture and In Modo Classico plus Flirtation and 1812 Overture. A memory program for Stephen Foster follows with Memories of Stephen Foster, Bayou Beguine, The French Quarter Suite and Stars and Stripes Forever. The A Cappella choir under Caro M. Carapetyan performs sacred music at Ashtabula High School next Sunday at 4:30 p.m. The full program will be broadcast on WICA and WICA-FM. A second concert is at 8 p.m. in United Church, Geneva.

Corps To Pick Four Colonels At Military Ball
The corps of cadets will choose one honorary Colonel and three honorary Lt Colonels from 20 finalists to reign over the third annual Military ball. Winners announced Tuesday at 7 30 p m in the University Training school auditorium. The four honored guests will be presented during intermission at Akron East Market gardens Feb 21. Scabbard and Blade selects finalists from 68 photo entries tonight. Elliot Lawrence will perform at the ball. Tickets five dollars per couple from cadet members.

Health center staff changes noted with discharges and admissions

Union director cites strong student use and few gripes
Moran reports 6000 to 10000 daily Union users with many bowing in January. He notes problems with bottles in the card room and lounge chatter in the Hub and explains pay phones are the student outlets. He calls the Union the campus living room and praises student care.

Dates for spring program registration announced
Students must see advisors and sign into spring quarter classes on February 20, 21, 23, 24 and 27. Dr. C. E. Atkinson, registrar, said trial programs must return by February 28. English enrollment will follow a strict schedule with specific course groupings on February 20 to 28.

UT Sponsors Three Awards for Theatre Semi-Formal Dance
The university theatre semi-formal will be held in the Student Union ballroom February 10 from 9 p.m. to midnight. One trophy goes to the org selling the most UT membership cards and two trophies to groups with 100 percent UT membership. After trophy ceremonies, the speech department faculty under G. Harry Wright will perform. Tickets with current or previous UT cards are accepted. others are $1.50 per couple. George Conway's orchestra will provide music.
