Begin Booster Member Drive

The Booster club opened a membership drive with representatives selling in the Booster booth. President Bill Reichard announced at a meeting yesterday. John Brandy leads the campaign, Bob Moore runs the booth, and hourly schedules were set. Each campus member may sell one extra card. Plans include a Booster dance and a Hall of Fame director appointment.

Dempsey Secures Auditorium for Rehearsals This May

Dempsey won council support to provide an auditorium for rehearsals and presentation dates. May 12 and 13 with possible May 11, dress rehearsals May 29 to 31. Cast includes Irene Brodbeck Paul Snyder Marilyn Orr and Frank Klein as the show is re-scheduled after a late lay-off.

Flashes Rally to Beat Youngstown Penguins 63-52

A 33 point third quarter propelled the Kent State Golden Flashes to a 63-52 win over the Youngstown Penguins in the gym last night. The Flashes trailed 27-22 at halftime.

Annual ROTC Military Ball at Akron Armory Feb 21

The university corps of cadets hosts the ROTC Military Ball February 21 at the Akron Armory with Buddy Moreno and his orchestra. Lt. Thomas F. Wall calls it the largest ROTC social to date and features a prettiest Colonel contest. Lodge E Wins Terrace Lodge Scholarship Cup

Lodge E of the Terrace Lodges captured the fall quarter high point average earning the first Terrace Lodge scholarship cup. The engraving is pending and the dean of men will present the cup once finished. The cup will be awarded each quarter to the lodge with the top point average.

KDP to Initiate 30 Education Pledges This Thursday

The Kappa Delta Pi honorary will hold initiation services for 30 pledges at the training school auditorium this Thursday at 5 p.m. Faculty participants include Dr. Amos L. Heer Dr. Alfred W. Stewart Dean Frew Musselman and Gerald Read.
