College Salesmen Turned Loose On City Merchants
On December 18 fifty three students from Dr Wolfe’s selling class will gain real world experience by working with Kent merchants in retail stores. Another group will gain ad writing experience with Kent State and seven local merchants. Students are divided into groups, gather data, write ads, and submit them for judging with prizes for the best ad in each group. Judging and printing will occur on December 18.

Survey Shows Few Vacation Absences On Thanksgiving Week
A survey released yesterday found only 14 percent of students missed class during the Wednesday before and the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. President K C Leebrick praised student cooperation and noted the administration welcomes input on calendar changes as the new schedule is set. Enrollment for three colleges across three days included Education 306 students with 12 absences, Business 947 with 94 absences, and Liberal Arts 17 478 with 1 213 absences.

Students Mourn Death of Mrs Griggy Miller
Mrs Made line Griggy Miller 42 resident of Kent died yesterday at her home 114 University drive after a lingering illness. She graduated from the University in 1918 taught in Cuyahoga Falls Kent and Painesville before founding the Robinhood restaurant in 1927. Survived by husband Douglas Jr James and brother Howard Griggy. Funeral at 9:30 a m Thursday St Patrick's church burial church cemetery. Family receives friends 7 to 9 p m today and Wednesday at Bissler funeral home.
