Kent State students and faculty raised 71.80 for a trip to the Miami University Kent State football game benefiting Akron Children’s Home. Donations from Kent and Merrill halls and three fraternities covered transport costs and a treat for about 75 children, Ray Moran reported.

Luck Passes Ohio CPA Exam as Kent State Instructor
Donald D. Luck, accounting instructor, passed the Ohio Certified Public Accounting exam taken in Columbus on May 20 to 22, 1947. Of 240 candidates, 65 passed. Luck holds a BS in Business Administration from Akron 1941 and an MBA from Harvard 1943, with extensive accounting practice since 1938 and prior teaching roles at Akron.
