Kent State art students visit Mexico amid post election unrest
Eight Kent State University art students toured Mexico from June 21 to July 6 led by Harold C. Kittner. They viewed Zapoteca ruins at Monte Alban and Mitla, Guanajuato architecture, and works by Diego Rivera Rufino Tamayo and David Siquieros while in Mexico City. The trip included a day of street violence after elections as followers of Ruiz Cortines and Enrico staged celebrations.

Traffic Court Openings At University This Summer
Three positions are open for justices on the summer University traffic court according to Earl B. Coleman chief of police. Applicants must have at least a 2.0 cumulative average and at least a 2.0 for their last school session. Applications are at the University police department office east corridor by Wills gymnasium. Justices will be selected by the University business manager and the comptroller. Two or three one hour sessions are planned, with times set by the presiding justices.

Geology Field Trip Heads to Mount Desert Island Maine
Nine geology majors from the university travel to Mount Desert Island in Acadia National Park for a six credit accredited field course. Led by associate professor Carleton N. Savage, the group includes eight undergrads and one graduate student, living in park cabins and using personal cars for transport.
