Spanish Group Goes National Beta Lambda Installed on Campus

Beta Lambda chapter of Sigma Delta Pi will be installed on Thursday April 29. Installation begins 5 p.m. in Moulton Music room with a banquet at Vale Edge Ravenna. Dr F Dewey Amner national president will perform the ceremony assisted by Mrs Elgitha Hauser. Alpha Nu Baldwin Wallace college will attend. Twenty four university students will be initiated and seven faculty members made honorary.

Future Prospects High School Auditions At Kent Campus

About 5000 high school students attend the Northeastern Ohio Music Auditions and Scholastic Press clinic in Kent over two days. Kent acts as district elimination for musicians, with annual events since 1929. Winners advance to Columbus for state finals. Governor Thomas J. Herbert participates in a mass journalist interview and awards a trophy to the top story writer.

Kathy Hosfeld Crowned New Queen at Newman Dance

Kathy Hosfeld, a junior, was elected queen of the College of Education at Newman club. Attendants Cathie Scullion and Joanne Hall join her. The Daffodil Twirl will be May 1 at Portage hotel Akron, with Jimmy Coin and his orchestra. Tickets are $2 per couple.

Prom Tickets On sale for Senior Prom at Twin Lakes

Tickets go on sale next week for the Senior prom on Friday June 11 at Twin Lakes country club. Admission is 1.75 per couple.Music by the Melotones orchestra. Oberlin College Choir to Perform Modern Music Sunday

The Oberlin college choir will present modern choral works on campus Sunday afternoon conducted by Arthur Poister. The program follows a recent KSU a cappella concert and includes a Bach chorale, seventeenth century pieces, and short German and English works from modern times. The 4:30 PM performance in the auditorium is free to students and townspeople.

Lions to Stage Stadium Dance With Range Riders

Ernie Benedict and his Range Riders will perform at the Kent Lions club Stadium Drive dance on April 30. The WGAR radio band will play both round and square dances. Tickets are $1 per person and available at the athletic ticket office.

Barich Elected 1A President

Prof. Dewey F. Barich head of the industrial arts department will serve as president of the Ohio Industrial Arts Conference for the coming year. He was elected at the meeting in Columbus last Friday and Saturday.

Members of the International Relations club and advisor Dr. W G Meinke will attend the Tri-State conference at the University of West Virginia today and tomorrow. The event gathers groups from Ohio Kentucky and West Virginia.
