Kotys Heads to California for NCAA Gym Meet
Kent State gymnast Joe Kotys, ranked top in the nation, will carry the Blue and Gold to the NCAA gymnastics meet at the University of California on Saturday. He is Kent’s sole entrant, marking the program’s first Pacific coast visit and boosted by support from Down town Boosters and the athletic department. Adolph Haeferly of the Cleveland Swiss Turners is funding expenses, and Kotys will compete in all events including parallel bars and rings.

Awards Banquet Set For May 13 At Mayflower Akron

Australian secret ballot approved by council elections committee
The committee abandoned the preferential ballot in favor of the Australian secret ballot pending Student Council approval. Voters will select the number of people to be elected, not rank all candidates. The panel also accepted ISA petitions despite late filing and planned April 21 elections by student activity card. Poll booths to be set at Kent Merrill halls and the Atrium.
