The Second Annual Convention of the Colored Division of the General Hospital Training School for nurses in Kansas City May 16 to 20 showcased the new program. Mayor Joathell praised progress, Dr. Wm. J. Thompkins received high commendation, and diplomas were presented by Miss Bustard at Allen Chapel. Activities included a Bacalaureate sermon, a Swope Park picnic, and a city tour. A Tri State Medical Association plan linking Missouri Kansas and Oklahoma emerged with a May 26 health meeting and a May 27 health program at Lincoln High School.
