Metropolitan Zion Church Leader Reappointed in City Renovations
The Pleasant Hill Academy graduate who built churches in Alabama Georgia and Tennessee and remodeled the Metropolitan in Bristol Tennessee is reappointed pastor here after a spring facelift costing about three thousand dollars. The Missouri Annual Conference ended with landmark changes including moving the convention from fall to spring and recording over twenty seven thousand dollars in nine months. Bishop G L Blackwell and Dr J W Carter led sessions with notable speakers and guests, while J W Carter was elected reporter to al thy papers. Also reported is the death of John G Jones prominent lawyer and Imperial Potentate, with funeral details and a note on his civil rights legacy. Leavenworth Kansas Baptists report a record revival at a tent meeting led by Rev W H Davin and Rev H Davis.
