Twenty five men from Kansas City enlisted for the Negro officers training camp at Fort Des Moines Iowa which opens June 18 The government plans to train 1250 Negroes with 250 from enlisted Negro units and 1000 from across the United States Captain O R Cole and Dr J E Dibble coordinated referrals noting many university graduates among applicants Kansas City has 25 men already accepted and awaiting call. further enrollment will close soon.

Negro shot in rooming house row in Muskogee
Arthur Dade from Muskogee Oklahoma shot and seriously wounded RE. D. Frank, also from Muskogee, when he found Dade with a Negro woman at 1743 Walnut street Monday evening. Frank escaped. Dade was taken to the Old City hospital.
