Century Forum Jazz Concert at Harmon Lounge Friday
The Century Forum hosts its fourth annual Jazz Concert on Friday at 8 30 in Harmon Lounge. The Royal Jesters of Benton Harbor perform with a noted female vocalist while Bob Copeland chairs seating and Angie Vlachos Tom Johnson head the ticket committee with prices 75 cents stag 125 per couple. Tickets are available from Century Forum members and decor and refreshments are being organized.

Civic Players stage The Innocents from January 6 to 15
Four real cast members lead the Civic Players adaptation of The Innocents at the Civic Auditorium. Burt French directs with Margaret Haugen as the Governess and Jean Huston as Mrs Grose. Young actors Mike Huston and Lisa Wasleski play Miles and Flora with local student backgrounds and theatre ties. Performances run Tuesday through Saturday with a 7:30 curtain for Tuesday.

Kalamazoo College to Build Louis C Upton Memorial Science Hall
Construction begins next spring on a 350000 science building east of R E Olds Hall to honor Louis C Upton. Funded by gifts from Mrs Louis C Upton and the Whirlpool Foundation, with 300000 in hand and 50000 more needed to complete. The drive set a record for contributors and will balance the college budget for a second straight year. Dr Richard Schreiber chaired the drive with Arthur Blakeslee Harold B Allen Albert Van Zoeren Willis F Dunbar and Douglas Brahm leading divisions.
