The annual edition of the Boiling Pot advances with Dorothy Jean Conner as editor and Shirley Stevena as associate editor. An editorial staff of ten, copy staff of sixteen, business team, sports editors, art and photo crews, and six typists prepare the college publication inviting student involvement.

Dr Arnold Mulder of the English department was invited to speak at the Kalamazoo Academy of Medicine Ladies Night banquet at the Columbia Hotel during Christmas vacation.
