Semester Elections and Recess Dates Announced
Elections for the second semester must be made between January 7 and 17. The spring recess shifts one week later, beginning April 2 at 4 30 P M and ending April 13 at 8 00 A M. Supplemental exams will be held April 15. Registrar J H Bacon signs the notice.
Library fines system adopted by Committee votes
At a December meeting the Library Committee recommended fines for overdue items. One day books 25 cents per day. three day books 25 cents per day. seven day books 10 cents per day. other books 5 cents per day. Periodicals 10 cents per hour. Books called in for special needs incur 50 cents per day from the second day after return request. The fine aims to discipline, not rental, and quiet, orderly use is urged. The Club Reading Room opens to faculty and students during regular hours for voluntary reading.
