Two Delegates Attend Theta Alpha Phi First Convention
Hotel Gibson in Cincinnati hosted the first national convention of Theta Alpha Phi. Kalamazoo sent two delegates, Harold Blaine and Harold Allen, as seventeen of thirty five chapters were represented. Prof. J. R. Pelsma presided. Utah Alpha led by May Babcock brought the largest delegation. Hillsdale’s Michigan Alpha had four reps and a new theatre funded by Hillsdale College and the chapter.

Theater Fund Grows for Stock Bridge Barn Remodel
The Drama Club reports nearly $1100 including a $500 donor gift and $97 from Only 38 as it plans to remodel the Stock bridge barn into a Little Theatre. Treasurer notes board approval to reimburse club for work if the property is sold, with preliminary estimates set during recess and winter remodeling to begin. Wanda Acker opened the pre Christmas meeting with Why the Chimes Ring, a Christmas legend dramatized for the program.

Boiling Pot Dedication Honors Prof Praeger at Kalamazoo
Wells Thoms announced the 1924 Boiling Pot dedication to Prof William Emilius Praeger, a Kalamazoo College biology veteran of over eighteen years. Praeger shaped the department, built a renowned bird skin and slide collection, and is famed as a nature lover and sporting, campus figure. Subscription drive for the annual opened with 270 blanks filled, aiming for 325 by January 10. The staff plans a larger issue with new cover, campus photography, cartoons, and a featured joke section. Hope College students protested a Holland city vaccination order, arguing doctors would profit about 6000 dollars in fees.

Seniors Claim to Have Classy Rings
January 25 is the last day to order senior rings and pins for the class of 1924. The ring features the College seal in dull gold on black, a fili green border, and the numerals 19 24 on the shank. the matching pin bears 1924. Designed by Herr Jones of Indianapolis, the rings are unique to Michigan.

Kazoo Grad Gains Name in Wisconsin
Robert Gordon, Kalamazoo College alumnus and Fond du Lac Wisconsin Baptist pastor, grew from a wartime oratorical winner to a trusted community leader. He organized Peace Day events, led Y M C A fund drives, and spoke at major gatherings in Fond du Lac known as a civic force with Scotch humor and blunt honesty. Continued on page 4.

Challenge to 7000 students at Indianapolis mission gathering
