College Loses Staunch Friend in Leroy H. White
Leroy H. White, a longtime Kalamazoo College steward and active church and uplift worker, died on Christmas night after a sudden illness. Born in 1851 in Americus Indiana, he practiced law before turning to ministry and real estate in Kalamazoo. He led missions work and Sunday School efforts, supported prohibition, and served First Baptist Church in multiple roles.
