Menard Rancher Seriously Injured In Auto Wreck
Jim T. Hodges a 48 year old Menard ranch man was seriously injured in a Saturday night auto wreck eight miles south of Menard on the Junction highway. He suffered two pelvic fractures and other injuries and was taken to a San Angelo hospital. Passengers in his light pickup were Mr and Mrs Lamar Wilkerson and Don Huss all of Menard. Henry Bowen and Jim Robbins in the second car were reported uninjured.

Fatal Fall From Tree Claims Life Near Kerrville
Earl Pringle, 25, of Lampasas, died after falling forty feet from a pecan tree on the Beatrice Wright Ranch south of Junction. Rushed by Schreiner Hodges ambulance, he died before reaching Kerrville. Survived by wife and infant in Lampasas.

The Renfro M B Murr wildcat oil test in northwest Kimble County reports gas in sand at 1975 feet. The well is said to be producing 1.5 million cubic feet of gas with a drill bit lost in the hole. Drilling will continue to 2500 feet. J D Braley of Austin visits for business.
