Federal Government to buy Kerrville hospital for 1182000
Washington on November 9 the Federal Hospitalization Board recommended the United States purchase the American Legion Hospital at Kerrville from Texas for 1182000. Texas had asked 1612000 but would accept the offer. The sale would clear title and fund new construction for ex service men. The move pleased Kerrville citizens as new facilities and more patients are anticipated. The American Legion of Texas will receive 225000 of the sale price.

Marvin Willie Dechert son of Mrs W O Dechert was born June 23 1910 and died October 26 1925 at age 15 He was a Sixth Grade pupil at public school and loved by classmates who attended in a body with flowers His illness progressed rapidly after playing football days before his death He joined the Methodist church in childhood and was active in Sunday School The funeral was held at 10 a m Tuesday October 27 at the Junction Methodist church conducted by the writer and was well attended
