Road Change Ready After Citizens Pledge Funds
Citizens from Evergreen and Telegraph tell the Commissioners Court that everything is ready to start road work at the 10 mile crossing. Over 400 dollars have been raised and volunteers stand by once the right of way is surveyed. County Judge Farmer said a twenty day waiting period is required by law, with the petition filed November 2 and acted on favorably.

Four teams Junction Rocksprings Watson Divide and Camp Wood played at the Nethery Ranch polo field last Wednesday. Rocksprings beat Junction 5 to 3. Camp Wood beat Divide 1 to 0. Camp Wood then defeated Rocksprings 4 to 2 to claim the championship. Referees were Eddie Bode and E G Hill.

New Trapping Law Affects Fur Bearers
A new law from the last Legislature bans trapping fur bearing animals for barter or sale. Licenses cost $1 from County Clerk or game Wardens and allow trapping anywhere in the state. Landowners and tenants may trap on their property with prior tenancy. Fox and beaver have a ten year closed season. Open season runs December 1 to February 14. some Acts show February 15 to November 13 as closed. Likely a printing error confuses dates.
Wolves and a Wild Cat Caught Near 8 Mile Ranch
A government trapper, Mr Spaw, reports multiple predatory catches near the Mudge ranch with September two wolves, October one wolf, and a large female wolf with six puppies killed earlier. Last Thursday Freddie Mudge, with dogs, trapped a full grown wild cat on the ranch. Local residents Weaver Baker and Mrs Jones with Mrs Braley and her son travel for court and San Antonio visit.
