Foreclosures Rise on Federal Farm Loans
A summary shows federal and joint stock banks began foreclosure on 2,910 farms in seven years and acquired 852, selling 128 for a net gain of 27065.38. Baptist Church Notes No Sunday Service After School Baccalaureate
The church reports no preaching last Sunday due to Brother Kelly illness now nearly recovered. The cause of illness is uncertain with a rumor about his picture on the Eagle front page. Next Sunday morning there is no service after Sunday School for a Baccalaureate Sermon at Schreiner High School Auditorium. Evening service at 8 p.m. as usual conducted by the pastor with invitation to strangers.

More Good Rains Brighten Texas Hill Country
A Thursday rain boosted Junction and eastern Llano County totals. Town measured 1.75 inches with higher amounts toward South Llano and Cedar Creek where Cedar Creek rose six to eight feet. Farmers busy as rain resumes growth. grass rapid but not tall enough for cattle. Sheep doing well. weeds and brush filling forage. Weather favorable for planting.

Lee B. Miller Dies Veteran Hill Country Salesman
Lee B. Miller, a veteran traveling salesman famed for covering West Texas hills from Fredericksburg to Pleasanton, died suddenly at 401 North San Saba Street. Born October 29, 1856 in Montgomery, Alabama, he worked 45 years with M. Halff & Bro. and later as an auto-era salesman renowned for making friends. Funeral Thursday. J. N. Hodges and G. T. May honorary pallbearers. Thousands from southwest Texas and the Almo City attended.
