Tragic 11-Year-Old Kid Killed by Truck Near Ingram
An 11-year-old boy, Glenn Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Smith, was killed near Ingram when a gravel truck ran over him as he was getting off a construction vehicle on his way to school. Witnesses say the accident was purely accidental with drivers Joe Hill and George Knox not at fault.

Funeral Tuesday closes the Sand Cave tragedy
In Cave City Kentucky on February 17 Floyd Collins funeral was conducted by Rev C K Dickey after 11 days of rescue work. The shaft was sealed with cement and boulders placed to bury him where he lay. Authorities announced all rescue efforts abandoned and confirmed Collins had died several days earlier.

W B Hardeman and wife returned from Dallas after planning extensive improvements at South Llano Springs Camp. A new 56 by 45 foot river cobble stone residence will serve the ranch and tourist camp with a 13 by 45 front porch and Spanish façade. The main living area will connect to a 24 by 18 foot dining room via French doors to a large screened porch. Four or five bedrooms will be in the main building used as a home and eating area for visitors. Ten more camp houses will be built, totaling fourteen, plus a concrete pier, a windmill powered water system, and river-view back porches. An extensive ad campaign is planned to boost summer patronage and future growth.
