Car Truck Crash Critically Injures Two Youths Here
Two youths ride in a car that crashes into a stalled cedar truck on Menard highway 14 miles north of town. Car occupants, including C. D. Sanders and LaPorte Fish, are in a Brady hospital with severe head injuries while Bill Wallace is treated and released. Highway Patrols found the wreck after fog and rain made driving hazardous.

Funeral services for Andrew M. Josey 67 were held Saturday January 24 at the First Baptist Church in Tuscola with burial in Sylvester. He died January 23 at his home after a six months illness. Sayers Farmer of Junction is among 250 ranchers and civic leaders elected charter members of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition Inc. The group formed to stage annual shows in a new 1.75 million dollar Coliseum in San Antonio with plans for the first stock show in early 1949. Joe Freeman was named chairman, Perry Shankle president, George Maggard first vice president, E. W. Bickett second vice president, and R. Beal Pumphrey treasurer.
